Climactivity is developing its own social network with which we give climate-conscious people a Germany-wide community and show them that they are not alone when it comes to climate protection.
It also creates the opportunity to find like-minded people nearby and to better perceive the often invisible role models in climate protection.
At the same time, it can be used by the users of the game app as a forum for exchange.Climate protection is not only an issue on the surface, but of course also in the background: the social network runs - like our website - on servers from Greensta, a company whose servers are operated with green electricity from Greenpeace Energy and are located exclusively in Germany.The range of functions of the social network initially includes those of the well-known social networks: from creating a personal profile to connecting with other users and sharing content and media to topic-specific discussions in groups.The topic groups of the social network reflect the big points of climate protection, which the app and the on-site program are also based on.
In order to offer users orientation, each of these topic groups receives special support, structuring and moderation from climactivity.
The aim is to create a "safe space" with the appropriate netiquette, a kind of troll-free zone for discussing sustainability issues.
In the future, members of the network will have exclusive access to the climactivity content, which is provided in the app in the form of tiny bits of information (info bits).
Groups can also have a local connection.
For example, climactivity teams (see below) or district groups can connect and coordinate.In order to offer users orientation, topic groups that reflect the big points of climate protection from the app and on-site program receive special support, structuring and moderation from climactivity.

Conversely, a lot of activity in the social network means that the clearing in the climate protection forest in the app comes alive.
In the longer term, a tool is planned with which members can regularly record their carbon footprint and their climate protection handprint so that their improved climate protection behavior can be illustrated and made public for other members or shown through posts.
